The local organizing committee of 3rd International Symposium on Winter Lightning (ISWL2011) is pleased to announce the new dates and the venue of ISWL 2011 as the followings.

Date: June 15 (Wed.) – June 16 (Thu.), 2011 Venue: Sapporo Education and Culture Hall, Sapporo, Japan

Sapporo is on the Hokkaido Island, and about 700 km north from Fukushima. There are direct flights from Narita International Airport, and frequent flights from Haneda Airport. Weather of Sapporo in June is nice, in contrast to other islands of Japan being in the rainy season in June. Sapporo was a venue of Winter Olympic Games, and there are plenty of accommodations of all classes.

Regarding the program of the symposium, there are almost no changes except that the technical tour and the welcome reception are cancelled. The organizers are looking forward to seeing you in Sapporo on the newly scheduled dates.

The registration site is still open, so please register if you have not yet done. For those who already registered, please send us confirmation e-mails with your registration numbers (contact us via the following email address: general@iswl2011.jp). The symposium website will be renewed soon.
